PICK OF THE FORTNIGHT
A demo for a hyper-visual immersive sim/FPS self-described by its creator as inspired by Cruelty Squad. Even though it's just a demo, I love the aesthetic of the game and it feels satisfying to play. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
OTHER PICKS THIS FORTNIGHT
From L to R, top to bottom: Nescio, PRIMATE CAGE, Wages, Afternoon Spaghetti, Raige, Will The Man Get Frog
Nescio by cruzzCox: A tower defense/FPS hybrid currently in alpha. Rough around the edges, which is to be expected, but has a gameplay loop that scratches the itch. Here's hoping the art style of the final product is as highly contrasted as the current version.
PRIMATE CAGE by Like Life Games: Platform your way to the top in a large-scale version of a primate cage.
Wages by Veiryx: Live out your days earning a wage while balancing your other needs.
Afternoon Spaghetti by Shelf: A short game about helping your friend find some cheese for their spaghetti.
Raige (USD$2.99) by Chase Williamson: Note: I received a copy of this game for free. Follow one man's journey to survive in a dark and cruel world, against the odds and himself.
Will The Man Get Frog by MarechalBanane: A cute haiku writing game. Choose your mix of word types, generate a Kigo (word to focus on) and write to your heart's content.
